Training and Certification
Biological and chemical contamination of residences, commercial and public
buildings, and workplaces can arise from a number of causes and sources,
such as bio-terrorism, chemical spills, storage container degradation,
water flooding, sewage spills and leaks, and indoor bacterial and toxic
State, county, and municipal police departments, environmental protection
agencies, health departments, building inspection and safety departments,
as well as private business safety departments, hospitals, nursing homes,
airlines, shopping centers, office buildings, environmental service
companies, and consultants, can improve their agency or company’s
capability for protecting both employees and the public through improved
recognition, testing, removal, and prevention of biological and chemical
contamination of public and private buildings by having staff associates
trained and certified by the Environmental Hygienists Association (E.H.A.)
as Certified Bio-Chem Decontamination Specialists.
The lead trainer for E.H.A. bio-chem decontamination training is Phillip
Fry, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Professional Industrial Hygienist,
Certified Environmental Inspector, Certified Remediation Specialist,
Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator, Certified Duct
Cleaning Specialist, and author of five mold books.
Early in his career Mr. Fry was a staff member of the National Institutes
of Health (U.S. Public Health Service) and a hospital administrator.
Training and certification can be done by the E.H.A. right in the local
offices or other facilities of the E.H.A. governmental or business client
anywhere in the U.S.A., Canada, Asia, Australia, Europe, or worldwide.
